Dhampus peak is off the beaten trek. Dhampus peak is located in the east of the Dhaulagiri massif from where you can observe the surrounding beautiful natural scenery and the mountains vistas panoramic views of more than 30 peaks over 6000m including Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m and Mt. Annapurna 8091m– world seventh and eighth highest peaks.

You are in for the treat crossing through the hidden valleys, high passes Like French pass 5360m and Dhampus pass 5200m. It is regarded as one of the easiest peak climbing destinations, however, considering the challenges of high altitude passes and the peak’s elevation itself, you have to be physically fit and mentally prepared. A previous mountaineering experience is always a bonus – and still, the new adventurers can also enjoy every bit of the thrill with the proper execution of the instructions and guidance from our staffs. The view of the Kali Gandaki valley, the thick forest, glaciers and the simple lifestyle of the ethnic inhabitants of the region like Magar, Gurung, Thakali etc. will definitely leave an unforgettable impression on your mind.

Your journey to Dhampus trekking starts from Beni which can be reached by 7/8 hour drive from Pokhara. From Beni, you will follow the bank of Kali Gandaki River and ascend the lovely and unspoiled valley of the Myagdi Khola River. Your path crosses through the numerous picturesque villages like Darbang and Muri, thick forest, rugged mountains, high passes, hidden valleys etc. You will be greeted with warm welcomes and friendly behaviors.
