Detailed Itinerary

You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Dhunche. The first part of your drive upto Trishuli Bazaar is quite smooth. The path now moves along the gravel road. During the rainy season, the way is sometime blocked due to landslides. Your drive from Kathamandu to the destination is to be made by either local bus or land cruiser.

The trail ascends along the Langtang River to main street and then reach to the Ghopche Khola (2050 m.) and again aescends to the Landslide (1810m.). Afterwards, your trek again ascends gently to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) and at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel. In route you could see red pandas, monkey and bear if you are lucky. There are few lodges and shops which provides the trekker supplies.

As you continue climbing there are glimpses of Langtang Lirung between the trees. At Ghora Tabela (3000m), the trail rises from the forest. While walking here, you can catch a glimpse of white monkeys and local birds.

Once there was a Tibetan resettlement project here, but now it is a Nepalese army post though it has no permanent inhabitants. There is a monastery which we can visit shortly before arriving at the village of Langtang, the headquarters of the Langtang National Park. The houses of Langtang and its neighboring villages are of the flat-roofed Tibetan style.

After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. Here there is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. We should arrive at Kyangjin by lunchtime allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area. It is a dramatic setting, with snow-covered peaks surrounding us in all directions. At this point, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Lakpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and so on.

This is the day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m), directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks.

After descending for about twenty minutes you cross a suspension bridge over Langtang Khola and then the trail moves uphill all the way to yak Kharka. On both sides of your path you find juniper shrubs. You can enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung and Langtang Lirung glacier. Tonight, we have to settle sleeping tents because, we left tea house facilities for couple of nights from Kenjing Gompa.

The trail is steep ascent until you reach High Camp. You trek along the rocky and icy glacier. This day also you can enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung, Tserko ri, Ganchenpo peak, Kibgyu Ri, Yansi Tsenji peak and few others.

It is necessary to have rest day because your Guide and team have to share and teach also learn each other for your climbing and its’ technic which will make easier to the summit.

This is the longest day for you because of summit day. We have to prepare for the packed lunch with enough drinks for the summit and process to leave your camp 2 in the morning. Your Guide will prepare your all necessary gears and foods also drinks to the summit.

This is the scary down pass you’re your summit and have to be careful to steps and posters have to safe for the trek down. The guide will take care of fixing the rope to pass our porters. If already snow then we every crew needed special boots with crampons to the pass.

Downhills with wonderful landscapes of the high Himalaya deserts in this region. Huge drylands will have some beautiful landscapes with wonderful views of the east-parts of the Himalayas from the trip.

Trek down to Tarkeghyang village and it is the very traditional village for Helambu people called Whulmu and they will welcome you as special Guest and part of their family. This is the popular trekking region of Helambu and we don’t need to use our Tents and can use Teahouse for the accommodation. We can use bathrooms for your baths and washing.

This is another wonderful and historical town of the Helambu and culturally very important and beautiful place of the trip. We can see very nice views and long valley views for the lifetime memorable. There are several Gompas and tsortens of Buddhist monuments and we will feel very special to the participants as the guest with locals.
