Mardi Himal Trek route was open to travelers in 2012. In the short time, it was introduced, it has garnered much praise from trekkers from in and out of the country due to its short trek route along with magnificent sceneries.

Mardi Himal Trek will take you through the Annapurna region of Nepal, to the highest point of your journey which is the Upper View Point at 4200m. From the Upper View Point, you will be able to witness a breath-taking panorama of Annapurna Ranges, Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Tent Peak, and so on. Against the backdrop of blue skies and barren hills adorning the snowy peaks, this is certainly a once in a lifetime view you will be able to witness.

Mardi Himal Trek will start at the capital city, Kathmandu where you can witness the perfect blend of culture with modernity. As you move on to Pokhara, the ambiance changes to a more scenic serenity due to the giants- Machhapuchhre and Annapurna looming at the skyline of the city, rising from the view of green hills that surround the valley. Your trek will take you through forests of oak and rhododendron which is common around this region, but nonetheless very beautiful. You will visit some of the best view-points such as the Low Camp and High Camp at an altitude of 3035m and 3590m respectively. You will also be able to witness the traditional village of Siding and experience the culture of rural Nepal.

  • Day 05: Trek to High Camp 3,590m, 4 hrs.
  • Day 06: Hike up to Upper View Point 4,200m, back to High Camp 4.5 hrs.
  • Day 07: Trek to Siding Village1280m, 5 to 6 hrs.
  • Day 08: Siding Village to Pokhara
  • Day 09: Fly/Drive to Kathmandu
  • Day 10: Departure to International Airport.

Detailed Itinerary

You will arrive at the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu through the country’s only international airport, Tribhuvan International Airport. Our representatives will aid you towards your hotel. Kathmandu is a busy city where you can witness a great diversity in terms of culture. You can visit a few cultural heritages located in the city such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath. Overnight in Kathmandu.

From Kathmandu, you will drive or take a flight to the city of Pokhara. Pokhara is a scenic city with famous view-points such as Sarangkot hill. The view from the banks of Phewa Lake is amazing as the beautiful hills surrounding the lake is crowned with two mountains- Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. You can enjoy the lively atmosphere of Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara.

From Pokhara, you will take a short drive of 1 hour to Kande. The drive will be beautiful, with scenic views of hills. You will then trek towards Forest Camp. The trail will take you through dense forests of oak and rhododendron. From Forest Camp, you can see a panoramic view of Manaslu range and Dhaulagiri. Overnight in Forest Camp.

From Forest Camp, you will trek for 4 hours towards the Low Camp. The trail will take you through dense rhododendron forests which is a beautiful sight to see when in full bloom. Located at an altitude of 3035m, Low Camp offers you beautiful views of Machhapuchhre and Mardi Himal against the backdrop of hills, forests, and clear blue skies. Overnight in Low Camp.

From Low Camp, you will trek towards High Camp which will take you around 4 hours. The trail will take you through rhododendron forests, grassy slopes as well as pastures where yak and sheep graze. High Camp is one of the most beautiful places with a 360-degree view of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna ranges, Himchuli. Below, the entire Modi River Valley can be seen. Overnight in High Camp.

You will trek for 4 to 5 hours to reach Upper ViewPoint from High Camp. You will reach the highest point in your journey at an altitude of 4200m. The view from here is absolutely exquisite. On a clear day, with the backdrop of blue skies, you can witness several mountains such as Mardi Himal, Annapurna Ranges, Himchuli, Tent Peak, and Machhapuchhre and so on. Overnight in Upper View Point.

You will take a trail that will take you to Siding Village from Upper View Point in 5 to 6 hours. Siding is a traditional Nepali village that lies tucked away in the folds of lush, green hills. You can interact with the locals to get a glimpse of their lifestyle and culture. Overnight in Siding Village.

From Siding Village, you will trek back to Pokhara which will take you around 3 hours. You can explore the cuisine and lifestyle of Pokhara city as it mainly caters towards tourists from both in and out of the country. Overnight in Pokhara.

You can either take a flight or drive back to the capital city, Kathmandu, Either way, the journey will be scenic with the views of hills and rivers, the latter of which seems to snake its way throughout the route. Overnight in Kathmandu.
